PT Bumi Resources Tbk (“BUMI” or the “Company”) in February received an award from National Center For Sustainability Reporting (NCSR) for First Year SRA (Sustainability Reporting Award) Entry. The event was held in Lorin Hotel, Solo. The award was conferred by the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Prof H Muhammad Nasir to Elly Slamet, Vice President of Risk Management Division of PT Bumi Resources Tbk.
New Spirit For Sustainability is the theme in BUMI’s sustainability report 2016. This theme is used as the basis for the report that is taken from the momentum of BUMI’s successful financial restructuring in 2017. BUMI’s Sustainability Report provides information on BUMI's continuing efforts in conducting sustainable operations through effective and efficient production activities, proper environmental and practices, human resource management and the improvement in quality of life.
For BUMI, this approach reflects the Company’s serious commitment towards the implementation of sustainability principles that include Accountability, Transparency and Responsibility.
“This award is greatly valued by us. It will encourage the Company to further improve their sustainability programs.” said Elly Slamet, BUMI’s Vice President of Risk Management Division when receiving the award on behalf of BUMI.
BUMI subsidiary PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) also received the Prestigious Award for Early Adoption of GRI Standards in the same event. This award was received by Wawan Setiawan, General Manager of External Affairs & Sustainable Development of KPC.
