PT BUMI Resources Tbk through its subsidiary PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) received an award for its achievement as the best contributor of Export Foreign Exchange in 2017 by Bank Indonesia. The award was given directly by the Governor of Bank Indonesia Agus D.W. Martowardojo and received by RA Sri Dhamayanti – Director of KPC and BUMI, at Hotel Bidakara, Jakarta (18/7).
The Governor of Bank Indonesia, Agus Martowardojo, said that BI appreciates the companies or corporations that provide the best foreign exchange. “The award was presented to all economic players and national figures which have recently made best contribution and performance to safeguard and advance the Indonesian economy, as well as inspiring the enhancement of quality and economic governance of the nation,” the Governor of Bank Indonesia, Agus D.W. Martowarjojo, at the Bank Indonesia Award Ceremony 2017, Tuesday (18 July), in Jakarta.
Further, Governor of Bank Indonesia said that the award presentation also reflects the synergy between Bank Indonesia and the economic players, which together with the government, OJK and LPS attempt to materialize the macroeconomic stability, as well as facilitate the acceleration of economic growth in a health and continuous manner.
This award was given for the performance of KPC which has ensured all export foreign exchange received in the domestic foreign exchange bank and reported in accordance with the Bank Indonesia Regulation. The export foreign exchange contributes to the nation's economy.
Amongst 30 (thirty) awards given to individuals, corporations, banks and the media, from 16 (sixteen) categories, BUMI Subsidiary Kaltim Prima Coal was conferred the distinction of Best Contributor of Foreign Exchange from Exports in Indonesia.
