PT Bumi Resources Tbk (“BUMI” or “the Company”) conducted its 12th blood donation event on Monday, 23 July 2018, with as many as 100 employees taking part and 82 donors from the Company and for distribution by Indonesian Red Cross (PMI). From the first to this twelfth activity, the Company has successfully collected blood from 1,229 donors equivalent to over 300 liters from acceptable donors. BUMI is in collaboration with PMI for its Blood Donation activities by inviting Employees and Management of BUMI and other firms at Bakrie Tower for participation.
President Director of PT Bumi Resources Tbk, Saptari Hoedaja conveyed his deep appreciation for this activity and stated, “This demonstrates the real contribution made by BUMI and its employees and of business units in Bakrie Tower as a public service to the community. This promotes and raises self-awareness of the importance of team work, helping the community work together for a noble cause”.

This is in line with BUMI’s Corporate Social Responsibility, “Developing a Self-Sustaining Society”.
Blood donation from employees is yet one more important program by BUMI. Other notable CSR programs are in educational aid programs, eg. construction of early childhood schools (PAUD), donating libraries for them, low cost housing for the needy, free medical check-up and medical treatment besides Safety, Health, Environment, Sustainability and Preservation.
